Short description
WEST SYSTEM 205 Fast Hardener is a medium‑viscosity epoxy hardener suitable for bonding and coating applications, especially at lower temperatures. Designed to be mixed with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin at a 5:1 ratio. Sold without pumps.

Uses and performance
Hardener 205 provides a fast cure with rapidly developing physical properties. When mixed with 105 resin at 5:1 (resin:hardener) the cured system produces a rigid, high‑strength material with good cohesion and an effective water vapour barrier, appropriate for most bonding and coating tasks.

Working & curing times

• Pot life at 25°C: 10–15 minutes
• Cure to solid at 21°C: 5–7 hours
• Full strength at 21°C: 5–7 days
• Minimum recommended working temperature: 5°C

Dosing & mixing

• Recommended mix ratio with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin: 5:1 (resin:hardener)
• Dosing: mini‑pumps enable accurate proportions — one resin pump stroke equals one hardener pump stroke
• Mixing: stir thoroughly for at least two minutes (longer at low temperatures); scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container

Consumption

• 1 kg mixture on porous surface at 25°C: 6.5–7.5 m²
• 1 kg mixture on non‑porous surface at 25°C: 8.5–9.5 m²

Packaging & requirements
Packaged in a 5 kg container. Sold without pumps. If using pump dosing systems, use Model C pump (ws301) sold separately.

Additional information
Provides a fast cure useful at lower temperatures and offers excellent adhesion and coating properties when combined with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin.
