Short description
WEST SYSTEM 205 Fast Hardener (WS205B) is a medium-viscosity epoxy hardener formulated to provide a fast cure and rapid development of physical properties. Intended for bonding and coating applications, it performs well at lower ambient temperatures when paired with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin.

Applications and curing
Suitable uses: bonding, coating and fairing operations, particularly in cooler conditions.

• Recommended mix: 5:1 (105 resin : 205 hardener).
• Minimum recommended working temperature: 5°C.

Curing times

• Pot life at 25°C: 10–15 minutes.
• Cure to solid at 21°C: 5–7 hours.
• Full strength at 21°C: 5–7 days.

Dosing and mixing

• Dosing: use mini-pumps (Model B pump - ws301) for accurate proportions; one resin pump stroke = one hardener pump stroke.
• Mixing: stir thoroughly for at least 2 minutes (longer at low temperatures). Scrape sides and bottom of the container while mixing.

Consumption

• 1 kg mixture on porous surface at 25°C: 6.5–7.5 m².
• 1 kg mixture on non-porous surface at 25°C: 8.5–9.5 m².
