Description
Hardener 205E from WEST SYSTEM is a medium-viscosity epoxy curing agent formulated to deliver a fast cure and rapid development of physical properties. Designed for bonding and coating applications and effective at lower temperatures. When combined with 105 resin at the recommended ratio it provides strong adhesion and reliable coating performance. Sold without pumps.

Working times & cure

• Pot life at 25°C: 10–15 minutes.
• Cure to solid at 21°C: 5–7 hours.
• Curing to full strength at 21°C: 5–7 days.
• Minimum recommended working temperature: 5°C.

Dosing & mixing

• Recommended mix ratio with WEST SYSTEM 105 resin: 5:1 (resin:hardener) by volume.
• Mini-pumps (not supplied) allow one pump of resin per one pump of hardener for correct proportions.
• Mix thoroughly for at least two minutes (longer at low temperatures), scraping the sides and bottom of the mixing pot.

Consumption

• For 1 kg of mixed material at 25°C on a porous surface: approximately 6.5–7.5 m².
• For 1 kg of mixed material at 25°C on a non-porous surface: approximately 8.5–9.5 m².
