Description
Special Clear Hardener 207B is formulated for use with WEST SYSTEM 105 epoxy resin where a clear, moisture-resistant natural finish is required. The 105/207 system provides strong physical properties for bonding and laminating while maintaining clarity in damp conditions and minimizing reddening.

Applications & benefits

• Designed for clear thin-film coatings over fiberglass and wood.

Usage notes

• Pot life at 25°C: 20–30 minutes.
• Cure to solid at 21°C: 9–12 hours.
• Curing to maximum strength at 21°C: 5–7 days.
• Minimum recommended working temperature: 16°C.

Mixing & dosing

• Dosing: use mini-pumps for exact proportions; recommended ratio with 105 resin is 1:1 (one pump stroke resin = one pump stroke hardener).
• Mixing: mix resin and hardener for at least two minutes (longer at low temperatures), scraping sides and bottom of the pot during mixing.

Consumption

• Reported consumption for 1 kg of mixture at 25°C: porous surface ~6.5–8 m²; non-porous surface ~8.5–10 m² (sources report slightly varying ranges).
