Ship hardener WS205F

Overview
WEST SYSTEM 205 Fast Hardener is a medium-viscosity epoxy hardener formulated for bonding and coating at lower temperatures. When combined with 105 resin at the recommended ratio, it provides rapid development of physical properties and strong adhesion. Sold without pumps.

Uses

• Structural and assembly bonding
• Protective and cosmetic coatings
• Applications in low-temperature environments (minimum recommended 5°C)

Mixing, dosing and application

• Recommended mix ratio with 105 resin: 5:1 by weight (resin:hardener).
• Dosing: mini-pumps provide accurate proportioning (one pressure of resin = one pressure of hardener).
• Mixing: combine resin and hardener and mix for at least two minutes at low temperatures, scraping sides and bottom of the pot.
• Packaging: product shown in 200 Kg container; sold without pumps.

Cure and working times

• Pot life at 25°C: 10–15 minutes.
• Cure to solid at 21°C: 5–7 hours.
• Full strength at 21°C: 5–7 days.
• Minimum recommended working temperature: 5°C.

Consumption

• 1 kg mixture on porous surface at 25°C: 6.5–7.5 m².
• 1 kg mixture on non-porous surface at 25°C: 8.5–9.5 m².
