Product overview
Costiera T.F. is a hard-matrix, copper-based antifouling paint formulated for use in all sea conditions. Designed for application on wood, steel and fibreglass hulls; not suitable for aluminium. Suitable for vessels operating at speeds above 30 knots when applied over the recommended primer.

Usage — surface preparation and application system

• Bare steel. Sandblast to Sa 2.5 and apply one coat of EPOFOND AM-9; allow 12–24 hours drying. If sandblasting is not possible, mechanically prepare to bare steel, apply one coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and allow 8–12 hours drying. Then apply two coats of SOLVER PRIMER with 24 hours between coats. Finish with two coats of COSTIERA T.F., allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.
• Bare wood. Apply one coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and allow 8–12 hours drying. Apply two coats of SOLVER PRIMER with 24 hours between coats. Finish with two coats of COSTIERA T.F., allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.
• Painted hull. If existing antifouling is sound, compatible and well adhered, apply one to two coats of SOLVER PRIMER, then two coats of COSTIERA T.F., allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.
• Fibreglass (GRP). Degrease with suitable cleaner, rinse and sand with fine abrasive; remove dust. Apply one coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER and after 24 hours sand lightly. Alternatively EPOFOND AM-9 may be used. Apply two coats of COSTIERA T.F., allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.

Recommendations
After the last coat, maximum allowable out-of-water period before launching is 1 month; with top-range copper-based antifoulings and if the hull is protected from moisture and weather, this may extend to 3 months. Protect from rain and humidity with suitable covering if delayed.

Colour
Colour may vary slightly after immersion and between production lots; if necessary, mix different batches before application. Available colours: ROSSO COSTIERA TF (B65514), NERO COSTIERA TF (B65570), BLU COSTIERA TF (B65528).

Remarks
Values in this technical data may vary slightly between batches. Do not expose wet paint to water, chemicals or mechanical stress before full curing. Wet film thickness refers to undiluted product; dilution increases this value. Information is based on laboratory tests and practical experience; this data sheet replaces previous versions.
