Product description
Self-polishing antifouling based on copper thyocyanate for all types of hulls including aluminium and light alloys. The soluble matrix releases active antifouling compounds during navigation; release rate depends on vessel speed and service. Recommended minimum: 3 coats. Suitable for vessels of medium speed up to 30 knots.

Usage - Surface preparation and application procedure

• Bare Steel: Sandblast to SA 2.5/3 then apply 1 coat of EPOFOND AM-9 and dry 12–24 h. If sandblasting is not possible, mechanically prepare to bare steel, apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and dry 8–12 h. Apply 3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER allowing 24 h between coats. Overcoat with 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC allowing min. 12 h between coats.
• Bare Wood: Apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and dry 8–12 h. Apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER with 24 h between coats, then 2–3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC allowing min. 12 h between coats.
• Bare Fibreglass: Degrease with suitable cleaner and water, rinse, sand with fine abrasive and remove dust. Apply 1 coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER; after 24 h sand lightly and apply 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC allowing min. 12 h between coats.
• Bare Aluminium and Light Alloys: Degrease with Thinner 765. Apply 1 coat of EPOFOND AM-9 and dry min. 8 h (max 24 h). Apply 3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER allowing 24 h between coats. Apply 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC allowing min. 12 h between coats.
• Previously Coated Surfaces: If existing antifouling is sound, compatible and well adhered, sand lightly and apply 2–3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC. If unknown, perform a patch compatibility test; if bubbles, wrinkling or cissing occur, apply 1 coat of SOLVER PRIMER as intermediate undercoat, then 2–3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC allowing 8–12 h between coats. After 3–4 years of maintenance full removal of antifouling is recommended.
• Recommendations: After the last coat the maximum launch period is 1 month. For top-quality copper-based antifouling and with the hull protected from moisture and weather, the launch period may extend up to 3 months. Protect hull with plastic sheeting if required.
• Colour: Colour after immersion may vary slightly; small batch differences can occur—mix batches if necessary before application.
• Remarks: Technical datasheet values may vary slightly between batches. Do not expose the applied product to water, chemicals or mechanical stress before full cure. Wet film thickness refers to undiluted product; dilution increases this value.
