Description
Hard-matrix antifouling formulated with high copper content and special additives for effective performance in warm and tropical waters. Provides secure hull protection when applied over the recommended primer system. Suitable for wooden, steel and fibreglass (GRP) hulls; not suitable for aluminium. Usable at hull speeds above 30 knots when correctly applied.

Usage

• Bare steel hull: On sandblasted steel to SA 2.5 apply 1 coat of EPOFOND AM-9 (two-component) and allow 12–24 hours drying. If sandblasting is not possible, mechanically prepare to bare steel, clean and apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO; allow 8–12 hours drying. Then apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER with 24 hours between coats. Finish with 2 coats of CONTENDER antifouling allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.
• Bare wood hull: Apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and allow 8–12 hours drying. Apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER with 24 hours between coats then finish with 2 coats of CONTENDER antifouling allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.
• Previously coated hull: If the existing antifouling is sound, compatible and well adhered, apply 1–2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER then 2 coats of CONTENDER antifouling, allowing the specified waiting time between coats.
• Fibreglass (GRP) hull: Degrease with suitable cleaner and rinse with water. Sand with fine abrasive paper and remove dust. Apply 1 coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER and after 24 hours sand lightly. Alternatively, EPOFOND AM-9 can be used. Apply 2 coats of CONTENDER antifouling allowing minimum 8 hours between coats.

Recommendations / Remarks
After the final coat, maximum out-of-water storage before launching is 1 month; with top-range copper-based antifoulings and if the hull is protected from moisture, this period may extend up to 3 months by agreement with technical support. Product characteristics may vary slightly between batches. Do not expose the coated hull to water, chemicals or mechanical stress until full curing. Wet film thickness refers to the undiluted product; dilution increases this value. Information is based on laboratory tests and practical experience and may be revised.
