Description
Modified two-component polyurethane enamel formulated for a full gloss finish on yachts and classic boats. Suitable for spray and brush application, it provides a durable gloss surface resistant to weathering and marine environments. Part of the Space Top line with additives for specific application and climatic conditions. Available in three white shades and marine blue.

Usage / Surface preparation and application

• SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
• Bare Steel. On sandblasted steel to SA 2.5 apply one coat of EPOFOND AM-9. If sandblasting is not possible, degrease, remove corrosion and obtain a suitable anchor pattern. Mechanically remove loose paint. Apply 2 coats of EPOFOND AM-9; fill if necessary with PLAMUR FINISHER MDF. Apply one coat of POLIFOND primer, let dry 24 h and sand. Overcoat with 2 coats of SPACE TOP ENAMEL allowing 18–24 hours between coats.
• Fibreglass. Degrease with suitable cleaner, rinse and sand lightly with fine abrasive paper. Remove dust and clean surface. If slightly powdering, apply one coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER and allow 18–24 hours. Fill if necessary with PLAMUR FINISHER MDF. Overcoat with 2 coats of SPACE TOP ENAMEL allowing 24 hours between coats.
• Bare Wood. Surface must be clean, dry and well seasoned. If required apply a sealing coat of POLIGLASS VARNISH diluted 50% or more with THINNER 203. After 24 hours sand and apply 2 coats of SPACE TOP ENAMEL allowing 24 hours between coats.
• Previously painted wood. Perform a patch test on a small area to verify compatibility. If the old coating is sound and is a two-pack polyurethane, apply one coat of POLIFOND, let dry 12–24 hours, sand and overcoat with 2 coats of SPACE TOP ENAMEL allowing 18–24 hours between coats. If loose or powdery, remove old paint down to bare wood and follow bare wood procedure.
