Summary
Acrylic antifouling formulated for propellers, stern-drives and flaps. Provides high adhesion and strong resistance to mechanical stress. Recommended application: 2 coats over a prior coat of ELIPRIMER on properly prepared substrates. Do not use solvents for degreasing. Application over different types of antifouling is not recommended.

Usage — Surface preparation and application
Bare metals. Degrease, clean and sand the substrate thoroughly. Apply 1 coat of ELIPRIMER and allow to dry. Overcoat with 2 coats of Contender Eliche antifouling, respecting the specified waiting times between coats.

Previously coated surfaces. If the existing paint is in good condition, compatible and well bonded, sand and apply 2 coats of Contender Eliche. If the old paint is not in good condition, remove it down to bare metal and follow the bare-metal procedure.

Recommendations
Maximum launching period after the final coat: 1 month. With top-range copper-oxide based antifoulings and after agreement with technical staff, this may extend up to 3 months provided the hull is protected from moisture, rain or atmospheric agents with plastic or similar material.

Colour
Colour after immersion may vary slightly between production lots. Mix different lots before application if necessary.

Remarks
Values in this technical sheet may vary slightly between batches. Do not expose the product to water, chemicals or mechanical stress before full curing. Wet film thickness refers to the undiluted product; dilution increases this value. Information is based on laboratory tests and practical experience and may be revised.
