Z/FP are entirely handmade containment barriers. Materials are carefully selected for long-term use in both freshwater and seawater. Barriers are supplied in 10 m modules and multiples; intermediate-length segments can be produced for special situations. They are intended for permanent installations to contain foams, oily residues and floating solid waste. Z/FP barriers do not release absorbed oils and maintain containment even at full saturation. The barrier is built around a central cable (nylon, polyester or stainless steel) fitted with special floats featuring a central hole and a through-hole. Floats are made from a specific foam and sized according to the selected diameter. The barrier core—support rope, floats and spacers—is filled with polypropylene flake pressed inside a first mesh coating to make it compact and uniform. An additional double coating of TNT (non-woven fabric) and polypropylene mesh ensures tightness and a perfect circular shape. Construction details, selected materials and handcrafted assembly make Z/FP barriers reliable for effectiveness and durability. All models can be supplied on request with a ballasted appendage and a P.V.C. protective cover in the requested colours.
