Product overview
BO 20/1000 circular containment barriers are designed to retain solid and liquid wastes and floating debris on lakes and at sea. They are supplied in standard 20 m modules or to customer dimensions. The barriers are orange and suited to fixed or semi-fixed installations.

Design and materials
The curtain is manufactured from PVC-coated polyester fabric. Buoyancy and reserve buoyancy are provided by closed-cell expanded polyester cylindrical floats inserted into heat-sealed pockets. A ballasted lower appendage ensures stability and continuous containment. Ballast chains of individual modules can be spliced to increase overall strength. Tensile strength of the fabric is >4500 N/5 cm.

Maintenance
Construction simplicity and durable materials minimise maintenance requirements. After each deployment, perform thorough cleaning before storage to preserve performance.

Applications
Suitable for fixed or semi-fixed booms, for example to surround offshore platforms, outer docks of refineries or other marine installations requiring containment of solids and liquids.
