OverviewAR/85AL containment barrier for harbors and docks. AR/85AL is designed to protect stretches of coastline, docks, harbors and offshore industrial areas from pollution. Thanks to an optimal weight-to-buoyancy ratio the barrier adapts to wave motion, ensuring effective containment even in adverse conditions.
Construction and functionalityThe unit is designed to minimize snagging and accumulation of debris: the push and ballast system is installed on one side only so the opposite side allows unobstructed flow of pollutants. The barrier fabric is PVC-coated polyester type PolyPanama with a minimum tensile strength of > 7500 N/5 cm.
Compliance and fittingsTo meet IMO international standards the barrier is supplied with galvanized steel ballasts and a perforated INOX 316 connection plate with wing nuts and screws. Alternatively, for IMO compliance, barriers can be fitted with ASTM Z marinized aluminum connectors.
