Overview
The ZPN-180 (Altura type), marketed by Zenit Ambiente (trade name OCEANIC), is an inflatable floating barrier manufactured to be fully compatible with Mannesmann and Tacconi type barrier technical specifications. Materials comply with Ministry of the Environment requirements. ZPN-180 barriers are suitable for offshore barrage and floating barrier applications. High reserve buoyancy and easy towing ensure good maneuverability in rough seas. Their light weight and compact deflated volume allow quick positioning and economical stowage. The barrier is made from a special rubberized neoprene fabric offering strong mechanical resistance and imperviousness to chemical pollutants, making it suitable for use in extreme temperatures. Coupling is provided by ASTM-type quick-connect connectors in marinized aluminium alloy 60/63. Ballasting is achieved with stainless steel weights and snap hooks; an optional galvanized ballast chain can be fitted. Inflation valves are plastic Monsun-type non-return valves.
