Product overview
Skywalk 850 is a large gangway designed as a port or marina structure to connect docks, floating piers or to provide boarding access for large yachts. The fixed support can be modified for installation on yachts so the unit can be stowed inside a dedicated garage.

Movements and dimensions
Skywalk 850 consists of five sectors: three extendable extraction sectors, one sector housing the extractable parts which rotates +90° upwards and -20° downwards, and one fixed support. Fully extended length: 850 cm. Maximum width: 90 cm. Minimum width at the tip: 60 cm. An ultrasonic sensor at the tip prevents collisions during maneuvering. Positioning is monitored by limit switches and the electro-hydraulic drive is managed by a programmable electronic microprocessor; the control software can be adapted to project requirements. Movement is operated from a control panel with joystick and from the supplied radio remote control.

Structure
The supporting structure combines an internal steel element mechanically coupled to an external aluminum element to balance weight and strength while meeting technical and design requirements. Front faces of the movable sectors are in AISI 316 stainless steel for marine corrosion resistance.

Walking surface
The walking surface uses honeycomb composite slats to ensure resistance to atmospheric agents, low weight and reduced maintenance. Slats are fixed to treated aluminum-alloy platforms that are removable in sections to allow access to internal mechanisms for maintenance or repair. The walkway is illuminated on both sides by blue LED lighting. Stainless-steel handrails with automatic closing movement are fitted on both sides; for yacht installations an alternative collapsible handrail assembly (stanchions, rods and top rail) is available to minimize stowage volume.
