Overview
Perini Navi SY KATANA is a 60 m sailing ketch combining measured volumes and controlled seakeeping to deliver safe, comfortable performance at sea. The fourth 60‑metre ketch in Perini Navi’s series, KATANA pairs carbon rigging and aluminium construction with refined interiors to balance advanced marine technology and timeless design. Launched in July 2025 at Marina di Carrara.

Project introduction
Perini Navi’s naval architecture provides agile seakeeping and controlled motion. Rémi Tessier’s interior scheme focuses on calm, functional living spaces. Accommodation comprises six cabins including an Owner’s suite and five guest staterooms, arranged for privacy and comfort.

Innovative highlights

• Carbon technology: high strength‑to‑weight rigging components.
• Re‑engineered sail system: dual forestays with furlers and a short carbon bowsprit for improved sail handling and performance.
• Dynamic Positioning: self‑anchoring station‑keeping system for enhanced safety and reduced environmental impact.
• Sail plan fittings (carbon): booms, spreaders and rigging supplied by Southern Spars.
