Delivered in 2009, S/Y Asahi is a 56-metre ketch-rigged sailing yacht built in aluminium by Perini Navi to a design by Ron Holland. She is the seventh unit of the acclaimed 56-metre Sailing Series and received the Best Sailing Yacht over 45 metres award at the World Superyacht Awards. Asahi combines a streamlined full-aluminium hull with advanced sailing systems, achieving a balance between performance, reliability and long-range capability. Her rig features a carbon-fibre automatic furling boom and approximately 1,500 square metres of sail area, enabling sailing speeds of up to 15.5 knots.
Asahi presents a clean and purposeful exterior profile, defined by her aluminium hull and superstructure and by proportions conceived for efficiency under sail. Designed by Perini Navi with naval architecture by Ron Holland, her 56-metre platform balances stability, performance and long-range capability, while generous deck areas support both sailing operations and relaxed life on board.
The interior design by Rémi Tessier is characterised by restraint and material precision, favouring clarity of layout and a calm onboard atmosphere. Accommodation is arranged for up to twelve guests across well-balanced cabins, supported by dedicated crew quarters for ten, ensuring both comfort and operational discretion throughout extended cruising.
