The control systems are an extremely important component in making the whole system work. They provide a user friendly interface at the panel end, and an accurate and safe method of controlling the high horsepower generated by the pump drives. Lewmar have a range of building blocks which can be customised to suit the system perfectly.
Panels
Thruster control panels are engraved alloy panels fitted with IP67 components for water protection in outside locations. Proportional thruster control is by spring centre joystick. All other control buttons are illuminated for ease of use at night, or poor light conditions. These control buttons are of momentary type, which allows full safety interlocks in conjunction with the control system. There is a standard range of panels, and Lewmar can supply custom versions if required. Should the builder wish to incorporate the controls into their own panel, or dashboard, Lewmar can supply all of the switch components separately.
