These new Holmatro Winches have been reinvented for sailors by sailors. They have unique features and innovations that, we are convinced, will dominate trends in winch design for years to come.
“With the launch of Holmatro winches we had one target in mind: to offer the best winch in the market” says Holmatro Marine Equipment’s GM Gert Jan Uijtdewilligen. “We are convinced we have succeeded. Our winches will provide sailors with more power, speed and fun for generations to come.”
Winch efficiency is how muscle power on a winch handle is transmitted to a sheet or halyard. Holmatro winches optimize your human input with a maximum exchange to useable sail power. Holmatro continues to use the proven Meissner concept of one-piece, self lubricating bearings resulting in less friction, longer life span and virtually no bearing maintenance. The advanced gear and bearing technology as well as the patent pending drum surface helps you to master your power.

Built from stainless steel and polished to the well-known Rondal gloss finish. The hydraulic drive and oilbath gearbox mounted inside the drum are sealed against the environment, resulting in a virtually maintenance-free product.
The noise level of these winches is extremely low. Power and speed is identical in both drive directions. All drum winches are hydraulically powered and designed without a self-tailing head.
Choose between five different standard base heights, either with an external or an internal flange.
Six sizes of drum winch are available, ranging from 1500 kg to 18.000 kg pulling force.

Constructed from aluminium, hard anodised and built to last. The robust drum house, hydraulic drive and oilbath gearbox ensure virtually silent running and hardly any maintenance.
The drum takes a single layer of rope and its length is calculated depending on the necessary working length and diameter.
A stainless steel spindle alongside the drum moves a car with a sheave at the precise speed relative to the drum and rope diameter, stowing the rope neatly on the drum. There are limit switches at each end of the spindle which stop the winch when the car reaches its limit.
Six sizes of reel winch are available, ranging from 1500kg to 18.000kg pulling force.
When decided to request price information please send a deck- and sailplan. Also we would need line load and length.
With this information we can inform you better.

Simplified reel winches, without the spindle driven car and with a grooved drum. Outhaul winches are generally used for short rope lengths and require a lead distance of approximately one meter, depending on the drum length.
Although mainly used for outhaul lines, these winches can also be used for traveller control.

Based on the principle of the drum winches Rondal has developed a new range of Self-tailing Winches.
The range of Self-tailing Winches consists of three sizes, with pulling forces of 4000, 6000 and 8000 kg. A 12000 kg winch is being developed. The self-tailing winches alle have a backwind. The self-tailing heads are springloaded for an optimal grip on the rope.
The styling meets the high standards expected of Rondal.

Lighter and smaller in volume these winches are a breakthrough from traditional design. These two key characteristics maximise comfort by reducing deck space and by increasing boat performance.
A larger diameter in the drum means more traction on the rope and more efficiency in self-tailing. Larger internal body diameter allows the use of aluminium and thinner walls resulting in a much lighter part.
Low profile and less weight, reaching 20% less in the #44. All winches bigger than the #44 present a roller bearing around the base resulting in a much more stable body, independent from the origin of the load. All shafts use roller bearings or highly-resistant auto-lubricated synthetic bushing. Self tailing and self-adjusting for a variety of rope diameters.
Off-centre axle means more space for gears. With the same base diameter the winch delivers greater mechanical advantage. This is a plus in high-load action and even allows the use of a shorter handle in lighter winds. First gear 15-25% higher allows a longer period of 'pumping' before using the second gear.

We have added yet another uncompromising new motor product to our existing line of high-quality motors. The new ANDERSEN COMPACT Motor© comes as a variable-speed or 2-speed unit in two versions: Below Deck, with smaller built-in dimensions than a standard motor, and Above Deck, which features the winch directly mounted onto the motor. This motor is a highly efficient unit with a high line speed and good traction. The unit is extremely well-suited for mounting and is compatible with the ANDERSEN Modular Power System©.
This motor demonstrates why ANDERSEN Products© are in a class of their own. When we say COMPACT, we mean COMPACT - because the unit is a true unit. The motor, gears and power supply feature an all-in-one design. There are no extra control boxes and only 3 cables out of the unit, resulting in the smallest dimensions available in a motor. The unit itself consists of 2 compartments, with the motor compartment completely sealed and water-resistant, and the gear compartment specially adapted to meet service needs. The motor is built on a entirely new commutator principle using no carbon brushes, resulting in the virtual elimination of wear and tear. This new approach to motors also provides other advantages, including a power consumption 30-50% lower than that of a normal electric unit. The weight is reduced by approx. 50% of a standard electric unit. So for us, COMPACT means less weight, more power and a fully integrated design.
