Construction and fittings
Our carbon masts have a lacquered or varnished finish. The masthead is carbon laminated to the profile. Fittings are bonded and bolted to prevent galvanic corrosion between aluminium and carbon and to protect the composite under load. The mast is supplied with spreaders in aluminium or carbon, straight or curved, and with gooseneck and boom-vang plates in carbon or aluminium. Shroud attachment points are either integrated via transverse rod terminations or of the cap tang type. The mast base is female type with a G10 insulating plate between the base and the profile footing; additional lateral insulation in fiberglass prevents contact between the base and the carbon tube.
