Overview
The SAL 11 M.M.I. inflatable life jacket is an individual personal flotation device designed for personnel working on open decks, aircraft support, ship maneuvers and general maintenance activities where there is a risk of falling into the sea.

Activation types

• Automatic activation: on immersion after a fall into the sea the system is submerged and deploys the buoyancy chamber within 5 seconds. Automatic activation can be provided by the UML MK5 saline activator (dissolution of a water‑soluble tablet) or by the Hammar MA1 hydrostatic activator using immersion pressure at a depth of at least 10 cm.
• Manual activation: the system is deployed by pulling the activation lever. Supplied with the UML MICROMANUAL manual activator and will operate only by hand.
