OverviewStud Link Anchor Chain CM490/CM690 is a hot-dip galvanized stud link anchor chain designed for marine anchoring applications on ships, boats and vessels. It is manufactured using flash butt welding to provide strong, reliable links for heavy-duty maritime service.
Corrosion protectionHot-dip galvanizing increases the chain's corrosion resistance for underwater environments: the zinc layer protects the steel from seawater and minerals, extending service life compared with non-galvanized or painted chains. Galvanized anchor chains are commonly used on yachts and other vessels where aesthetics and long-term corrosion protection are important. Galvanizing is performed to international standards; the process can add approximately USD 400/ton to the total cost compared with black-painted chains.
