OverviewStudless buoy chains are purpose-built marine chains for mooring and fixing buoys, providing secure links between buoys and anchor systems for navigation, marking and mooring operations. Available with multiple material grades, surface treatments and accessory options to match operational requirements.

Chain components and roles- Bridle (saddle) chain: distributes load to the float
- Short chain: typically ~4.5 m with an odd number of links and a swivel to reduce twist
- Half chain and long chain: provide scope and catenary for mooring
- End shackles larger than connecting shackles; swivels to reduce entanglement
