Description
Ergonomic design, lightweight and easy to wear over clothing. Neoprene outer layer protects the inflatable chamber and the activator from temperature variations and many chemicals while providing elasticity and resistance to crushing. The wide V-front and deep rear neckline improve fit over bulky garments. A padded mesh liner increases wearer comfort. The cover closes with exclusive semi-watertight hinges and protected sliding that open instantly to inflation via the Burst system. Supplied complete with underleg strap.

Stability in water / Positioning
Single-compartment buoyancy chamber made from PA 420 PU-coated fabric, joined by electronically controlled high-frequency welds. Ensures optimal in-water position and stable flotation. Buoyancy is sufficient to rotate and tilt an unconscious person, keeping the airway clear of the water. Even when inflated, the lifejacket allows swimming to reach safety or boarding a rescue craft.

Types of activation

• Automatic activation: On immersion the system triggers autonomously (approx. 5 seconds). Automatic activation can be with a UML MK5 saline activator (dissolving water-soluble tablet) or a Hammar MA1 hydrostatic activator (activates at immersion depth, typically ≥10 cm).
• Manual activation: Inflation triggered by pulling the manual lever. Can be fitted with the UML MICROMANUAL for hand-only activation.
