Description

Overview
Ergonomic inflatable life jacket with a neoprene outer case protecting the buoyancy chamber and activator from temperature variations and contaminants. Open V-front and low back neckline ensure compatibility with bulky clothing; padded mesh in contact with the body for added comfort. Semi-watertight Burst hinge case closure with protected sliding that opens instantly on inflation. Includes crotch strap. Among the lightest in its category (under 1 kg). ISO-certified integrated harness with buckle closure. 180N buoyancy chamber manufactured by high-frequency welding in PA 420 PU coated fabric with high-visibility material. Compatible with main automatic and manual activation systems. CO2 cylinder 38 g with anti-unscrewing locking system. Female fit considerations implemented; high, inclined activator position provides unisex fit.

Stability in water
Single-compartment buoyancy chamber in PA 420 PU coated fabric with electronically controlled high-frequency welds. Ensures optimal in-water position and stable flotation. Buoyancy is sufficient to rotate and tilt an unconscious person, keeping the airway clear of water. Even when inflated, the jacket allows swimming to a safe location or boarding a life raft.

Types of activation
  • Automatic activation: On immersion the system is submerged and triggers inflation autonomously (salt-type activator UML MK5 by dissolution of a water-soluble tablet, or hydrostatic activator Hammar MA1 by immersion pressure). Salt-type activation occurs in approximately 5 seconds; hydrostatic activation triggers after immersion pressure equivalent to at least 10 cm depth.
  • Manual activation: The system is activated by pulling the dedicated lever (supplied with UML MICROMANUAL manual activator; activation only by hand).
