Overview
Boom designed for the Z362E furling mast. The boom profile is machined on 5-axis CNC from 6005A T6 aluminium; the forward end fitting is machined from an extruded aluminium section. The boom is fitted with a 25 mm X-track with two end caps and a PEEK clew car that slides on the track. The aft end fitting includes an aluminium inspection hatch and a sheave cage to raise the furling line. Standard fittings include a stainless-steel mainsheet attachment slider and a stainless-steel vang attachment point (monohull only). A complete assembly comprising a slider and a furling line turning block is supplied. A traceability label is affixed to the forward boom end fitting.
