Overview
The Z692 is a latest-generation mainsail boom designed for performance sailing. The profile is precision-machined using 5-axis CNC technology. Forward and aft end fittings are machined from extruded aluminium sections for significantly greater strength compared with cast aluminium. The boom is fitted with four sheaves (one outhaul and three reefing lines) and is compatible with conventional and single-line reefing systems. Boom sliders are made from AISI 316 stainless steel. Supplied pre-rigged with messenger lines and fitted with a traceability label on the forward end fitting.
