OverviewThe Straatman Mooring Load Monitoring System (MLMS) provides continuous, per-line measurement of mooring loads on Quick Release Mooring Hooks using dedicated load cells. The MLMS platform visualizes current loads, stores historical data and manages client-defined alarm thresholds to notify operators when limits are exceeded.
Load monitoringThe MLMS measures mooring loads on each individual hook and line in real time and is suitable for use at jetties, terminals, FPSOs and FSRUs. Data is transmitted continuously to the software platform for operator awareness and analysis.
Load display- Local display(s) mounted directly on the hook.
- Control room monitor(s) for centralized supervision.
- Integrated displays in a control panel, with optional remote control functionality.
IntegrationThe MLMS can be integrated with a Berthing Aid System so that load readings, alarms and historical records are consolidated and archived within a single operational system.
Installation and maintenanceMLMS units can be factory-fitted into new Quick Release Mooring Hooks or retrofitted on-site to existing hooks. Straatman offers a lightweight, mobile installation solution to minimize crane use. Annual maintenance and inspection are recommended in line with OCIMF/SIGTTO jetty maintenance guidance.
