Overview
Silic One is a biocide-free, high-solids, silicone-based fouling-release coating. A hydrogel micro-layer provides a smooth, low-friction surface that reduces organism adhesion on hulls and propellers. Typical service life on hull: 2 years.

Intended use
Designed for new boats or bare boats with epoxy substrates; suitable for commercial and leisure vessels requiring fouling-release performance.

Application

• Surface preparation: Clean with a suitable detergent and sand with dry abrasive paper (P120). Rinse thoroughly with water and allow the surface to dry completely.
• Application: Apply the system layers as specified. If the recoating interval is exceeded, reapply Hempel's Light Primer 45551 or Hempel's Silic One Tiecoat 27450 as required. Ensure full coverage of Silic One Tiecoat for proper adhesion. After 48 hours clean the surface with Pre‑Clean 67602, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry before applying the next coat. Overcoating should be carried out as soon as possible after drying.
