Rondal's carbon fibre hatches reflect the know-how accumulated over many years of hatch building in aluminium and stainless steel. The materials used are carbon fibre prepreg and PVC foam.
Hatches up to 1000 x 1000 mm are cured in an autoclave at maximum 120 °C and 3 bar pressure. Larger hatches are cured in a separate cabin under full vacuum.
The mould set-up and the production method have been carefully chosen to ensure flexibility and high quality. As the gutter and moving part are made in one piece, almost any shape or size hatch can be built, deck camber incorporated or a (insulated) glass or perspex panel fitted. The hatch can be covered with teak or have a teak surround around the glass/perspex.

Currently, the opening systems fitted on boats (hatch), on leisure vehicle (roof light) and on buildings (sky dome) follow the same principle. A bearing structure (the lower frame) mounted on roof with a mobile part (the acrylic) which can be open or closed.
What is the problem?
The system is relatively efficient for letting air coming within and out of the space when the wind is well oriented. However, since the wind may be variable both in direction and force, a non-mobile roof light causes strong draught or the impossibility to extract air or smoke from the inside.
Systems usually sold everywhere are unable to cope with all situations.
Our solution.
In order to regulate the entrance and exit of the air, whatever the force and the direction of the wind, you need to be able to adjust the mobile part to the wind direction. You can choose to create draught or extracting the air.
Our solution enables e.g. to reduce the use of electric fans or air conditioning system whenever there is enough wind, thus saving energy. Similary, our product is capable of extracting smoke out of kitchens, attics or even in case of fire, an asset for increased safety and security. If you need to replace an existing hatch or roof light, we have designed a template allowing to mount our system on traditional rectangular openings.

"Inox Line" the stainless steel portlights by Nemo Industrie
Waterproof, resistance, adaptability and elegance
Produced in austenitic stainless steel, Nemo Inox Line portlights guarantee greater durability over time. The seals are made from close-cell neoprene for total waterproofing. The plexiglass windows are dark grey colored for better protection against the sun. The welding is pickled to ensure a lasting shine.
The new patented hinge-block ensures that the portlights can be opened to any position.
If required, we are now able to supply the portlights with a blocking system which is operated with its own key, to avoid accidental opening.
Aluminum portlights "Series 2000" by Nemo Industrie
A line of portlights in pressed, fused aluminum with innovative characteristics
The pressure of the handles during closure is regulated through a cam system and a friction-hinge which enables the glass to be opened to any point required, without the need for prefixed positions.
Profile with aluminium teeth which compresses the marine neoprene seal, guaranteeing an excellent barrier against the infiltration of water.
Top quality materials are used: the aluminium (type Peralluman) is made with a die-casting procedure (which ensures a constant and accurate control of weights), handles in nylon reinforced with fiberglass and dark-grey metacrylic plexiglass.
Installation is simple and fast, thanks to a self-centring lock system, which eliminates the need for any drilling on the deck or the hull.
