Furler / anti-pollution boom BL/45

Short description
The assembled Zenit Ambiente winding reel is designed to store and deploy anti-pollution barrier BL/45 for marine operations. It occupies the maximum dimensions shown in the attached drawings without protrusions. The unit is provided with a base with forklift pockets and eyebolts welded on the uprights for crane lifting. Optional wheels can be fitted to facilitate ground handling. The reel includes corner reinforcing profiles, a safety locking device, water drainage support plates and a tail rope fastener.

Description
The reel is a horizontal-axis type with a drum diameter sized to hold up to 200 m of BL/45 barrier and consists of:

• Frame
• Roller coil (drum)
• Retaining walls (side bulkheads)
• Hydraulic gear motor

FRAME
The base frame is built from AISI 304/316 steel with 200×100 and 100×100 profiles, 5 mm thickness (alternative: Marine Aluminum). To withstand loads from the coil weight and towing operations, the supporting structure is reinforced with an additional central profile.

COIL
The winding coil comprises a central shaft (drum Ø 450 mm approx.), a pair of side bulkheads in AISI 316 stainless steel welded to eight equidistant AISI 304 spokes to complete the rotating drum. The peripheral ring of the sidewalls is AISI 316 tubular, 30 mm Ø and 2 mm thickness. The inner surface is convex toward the centre to facilitate barrier wrapping.
