The module LAN5CH provides a managed 5-port broadband switch. Each port can be individually involved in the LINK monitoring. The selection of the monitored ports is done by means of DIL switches. A missing LINK of the selected port is signaled optically by the illumination of the red ERROR LED. Also in this case, a relay contact placed in the module, is closed, so that the LINK monitoring can take place electrically via the connector X1.
