OverviewNorwegian operator Boreal has contracted Sefine Shipyard to build five sister hybrid double-ended ferries (NB46 / NB50 series) for inner-fjord commuter routes. Each vessel is a fully aluminium, 35.00 m double-ended ferry designed by Multi Maritime with a 1017 kWh battery system integrated by WESTCON P&A. These ferries increase passenger capacity compared with the existing vessels serving the Oslofjord islands.
