OverviewNB76 is the sister vessel of NB71, built for the consortium of Agalas, Eidesvik and Reach Subsea. NB76 is a construction support vessel designed for construction and maintenance operations at offshore and wind-power sites. The main propulsion uses methanol fuel; the vessel is the shipyard's second unit featuring a methanol fuel concept. The propulsion arrangement is diesel-electric supported by an electrical generator and energy storage batteries. Accommodation capacity is 100 persons including the operational crew. An aluminum helideck (13 t capacity, 26 m diameter) enables crew transfer at sea. The green-oriented design was developed by Norwegian ship designer NSK.
