Description
The C420SP is a below-deck manual headsail furler from Profurl's Cruising range. It provides an aesthetic, low-profile installation while optimising luff alignment for improved sail performance. The tack point is height-adjustable. Maximum forestay diameter: 10 mm (rod #22). Standard finish: colourless anodized round extrusions. Delivered with a 10-year warranty.

Profurl furling systems
Profurl technology ensures long-term reliability. Mechanisms incorporate specialised sealed bearings able to furl sails in all conditions while resisting corrosion and contamination.

High performance systems

• Extrusions use a special 6106 alloy and internal reinforcement to reduce weight while maintaining strength.
• Ball bearings optimised for an ideal weight/resistance ratio.
• Wichard opening pre-feeder supplied as standard on Racing models to speed up hoisting.

Reliable and maintenance free

• Ball bearings are high-strength 100 C6 carbon steel, sealed in a grease bath to increase working load and prevent corrosion.
• Watertightness is achieved by two double-lip seals to keep out salt, sand, dust and water.
• Non-deformable plastic drums resist impacts (anchor bumps, collisions) and UV exposure.

Ease of use

• The standard feeder allows sail hoisting by a single crew member.
• The optional opening pre-feeder (Wichard) guides the luff tape into the extrusion for fast hoisting and can be reattached to the luff tape without removing the headsail.

Safety of use

• Double cage drum arms (exclusive to Profurl) prevent the furling line from jumping off the drum and allow easy realignment by pulling the line.
• Stainless steel locking devices are available for flush-to-deck installations.
