Overview
The HYPE is a short inflatable whitewater kayak designed for light rivers up to medium whitewater. The closed deck with integrated coaming provides a particularly dry ride. Rolled up the HYPE is compact and lightweight, facilitating transport by car, train or plane. Constructed from original Grabner rubber boat skin (1100 dtex EPDM), the hull is robust, repairable and resistant to contact with stones. A high operating pressure ensures strong form stability and direct paddling response.

The handy package
When rolled up the HYPE packs to approximately 70 x 30 x 15 cm (about 6% of the boat volume). Note: the HYPE is not a packraft. The material and construction (high air pressure, thick side tubes) differentiate it from thin foil packrafts and provide improved safety and durability.

Agile short boat
The HYPE's short overall length (245 cm) makes it extremely manoeuvrable and easy to move through waves — ideal for rough waters. The serially waterproof closed deck with seat hatch keeps the paddler dry.

Perfect surfer
The HYPE's hull resembles a creeker kayak: a voluminous bow gives buoyancy in waves while the flat stern supports strong surfing characteristics.

Stable shape
The flat, wide bottom provides good initial stability while the thick side tubes ensure high form stability.

User comfort & adjustable fit
Features for direct body contact and fit adjustment include thigh straps, adjustable seat and backrest, hip pads and a footrest cushion. The ergonomic knee area provides a stable inside width for bracing the legs; rolling is possible smoothly with the HYPE.

Equipment & storage
The stern offers storage space that fits a 30 L dry bag. A D-ring between the feet allows attachment of a rescue throw bag or other items within reach.
