Description

Short description
Epoxy resin formulated for rapid-cycle compression molding of fiber-reinforced composites. Heat-activated, fast polymerization for high-temperature compression molding processes. Super Sap® formulation with 28% biobased content (USDA BioPreferred® certified).

Common uses
  • Skis and snowboards
  • Skateboards
  • Compression-molded composite parts
  • Wood laminates

Overview
  • ENTROPY 305 is designed for rapid cycling in heat-assisted compression molding of fiber-reinforced composites.
  • High organic/biobased content with excellent fiber impregnation and thixotropic behaviour to limit sagging during high-temperature cure.
  • High modulus combined with good elongation for durable, lightweight composite components.
  • Super Sap® formulation; USDA BioPreferred® certified (28% biobased).

Available options
  • 305 CPM resin + CPF (fast curing agent) — Mixing ratio by volume: 2:1; Mixing ratio by weight: 100:40; Mixed viscosity at 25°C: 1994 cPs; Pot life at 25°C: 20 minutes; Recommended full cure: 15 minutes at 82°C. Characteristics: superior adhesion, very low viscosity to facilitate fiber wetting and accelerate polymerization for high production rates.
  • 305 CPM resin + CPS (slow hardener) — Mixing ratio by volume: 2:1; Mixing ratio by weight: 100:38; Mixed viscosity at 25°C: 1546 cPs; Pot life at 25°C: 50 minutes; Recommended full cure: 20 minutes at 82°C. Characteristics: superior adhesion, very low viscosity to facilitate fiber wetting.

Consumption / Typical yield
  • Approximately 3 liters for 2 snowboards or 2 pairs of skis (example yield).

Usage advice
  • Respect the indicated mixing ratios by weight for best results.
  • Mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes, scraping container surfaces to ensure homogeneous blending.
  • Use in environments with cool ambient temperatures or where humidity control is required.
  • Ensure substrates are dry and free of dirt, debris or oil; surface preparation by sanding is recommended.
  • Perform pre-tests with your materials and process to confirm curing behaviour under your working conditions.
