The new displays AHD 1115 F are part of the latest model series of 15-inch displays and panel PCs with improved readability due to increased luminosity and contrast. Combining increased performance and functionality in a modern design, they increase operational safety and ease of operation on ship bridges. Their luminosity of up to 1600 cd/m2 ensures good readability at all times, even during bright sunlight. Automatic dimming ensures that the displays operate glare free especially when cruising at night. Automotive components allow the displays to be used in greater temperature ranges than previous displays. The capacitive touchscreen allows comfortable operation; the latest display technology provides even more brilliant colors. Basic functions such as selecting the video source and brightness control can be quickly accessed with the built-in buttons. When connected to the CAN bus of the Böning system with an AHD 1200 or AHD 1300 alarms are signaled and can be acknowledged with the display’s buttons. The displays can be conveniently operated with the remote controls AHD-DRM T and AHD-DRM R or from an external PC – for example from the command chair on the bridge. Their 24 V DC power supply makes these devices especially suitable for use on ships. Due to the changed characteristics, the displays should not be installed next to displays and panel PCs of the previous model series.
