Overview
The AQ40S is a compact flashing lifejacket light designed for fitment to foam lifejackets. It activates automatically via its integral sensor lead when immersed or can be switched on manually. Powered by a lithium battery, the AQ40S meets SOLAS requirements and provides reliable low-light signalling for search and rescue operations.

Fitting

• Secure the light to the lifejacket where it will be most visible when the wearer is in the water, preferably near the shoulder.
• Push the fixing clip behind the lifejacket material or button hole and press into the light body until it clicks; once fastened the light cannot be removed without breaking the clip.
• Fix the sensor lead to the lifejacket by a suitable method so it maintains water contact and does not catch when the lifejacket inflates.

Operation

• The AQ40S is a flashing lifejacket light that activates automatically when the sensor lead contacts water or can be operated manually by the front push-button.
• The light will switch on automatically when the sensors at the end of the lead are immersed.
• To operate manually, press the button on the front of the unit.
• The unit can be switched off by pressing the front button, even if it remains immersed.
