Your suggestions for improvement:
A waterproof screen, or monitor is an electronic device for displaying images from a computer, a video camera or a control panel. Since they are watertight, they can be installed in an exposed location.
ApplicationsOf varying size, such screens can be used on any type of craft. They can display data from on-board management systems, video surveillance cameras, a computer and electronic consoles combining radar, GPS plotters, depth sounders and other instruments. Touchscreen models provide direct control of on-board systems.
TechnologiesFrequently installed on deck, these screens must meet at least IPX6 norms, IPX7 for maximum protection. They are usually treated to prevent glare and to be readable in backlit situations during daylight hours. At night, brightness is adjusted to avoid blinding the crew. They offer a wide variety of connections including HDMI, VGA, USB and others. They can be built into a console or have a fixed or articulated mount.
How to chooseInstallation location and budget will determine screen size. Touschscreens avoid the need for a mouse, which is rarely watertight and is difficult to use on a moving vessel.
