Your suggestions for improvement:

A lashing point is used to secure chains and cargo hooks to the deck for secure cargo stowage. Those used on Ro-Ro ships are commonly referred to as elephant's feet because of their shape.
ApplicationsThese devices are much-used on Ro-Ro ships to immobilize vehicles via lashing chains.
TechnologiesLashing points are simple concave metallic fittings welded to the deck. Their cross-shaped openings allow hooks to be secured in any direction.
How to chooseLashing point and opening size must be suitable for the chains to be used.
