A gas detector is an instrument capable of detecting the presence of different gases in a room's atmosphere. The different types include fixed detectors in tanks and enclosed spaces, and hand-held detectors. Both types can be found on NauticExpo.
ApplicationsBefore entering in a closed compartment whose atmosphere may be toxic, gas levels present in the air must be measured. In this situation, a hand-held detector is the most appropriate solution. Detectors are used in tanks and compartments liable to contain toxic gases. Hand-held models are used to evaluate the toxicity of an unknown atmosphere in a space not equipped with detectors.
How to chooseChoice will depend on detector type and the nature of the gases to be measured.
