Approved according to SOLAS 1974/96, LSA code MSC 81(70) IMO, Res. MSC.218(82) and IMO Res MSC.226(82), Part 1, Section 7 and EU Directive 96/98/EC. VIKING 470 GRP1 is fitted with a standard mast with lifting eye 1,6 ton. The rescue boat can be re-righted after capsize by two men.

Bruno Abbate has realized a 7.45 m hull for the Italian Red Cross, the G25 hydroambulance,equipped with two 135 hp Mercruise fuel injection inboard engines and able to push up to a maximum speed of 40 mph. Thanks to the extraordinary qualities of its bottom, designed by Bruno Abbate, one person on a spinal stretcher can be moved, while properly placed for cardio-pulmonary reanimation, in short times and in a linear and uniform way, with remarkable advantages when compared to the on-road transport. For embark and disembark of stretcher and paramedics, a spacious stern platform has been designed.

Proudly built by AMF Boat Company for Tirua-Pauanui community Coastguard - Search and Rescue. Powered by the Yanmar 440Hp diesel engine and Hamilton 274 jet unit , a top speed of 41.7 knots was reached.
Reports from crew are that she has exceeded expectations. Excellent handling and performance! The vessel performes well in large seas and shallow waters.
