Electrically heating elements are arranged centrically in a pipe system, and heated oil will flow parallel. The produced heat of heating elements will be transmitted t hot oil and transmitted to hot oil and transferred to heat consumers.
Heating and cooling as required
It is frequently necessary to require a cooling time after a heating period in a discontinuous process. The combination of electric hot oil heater and counter flow heat exchanger makes this possible.

The Konutherm high efficiency exhaust healers are specially designed to recover the maximum of available heat from (he engines exhaust gas. At the inlet of the exhaust gas heater a special double-valve system can be applied for exact control of the required thermal oil temperature at any engine speed. The valve systems also prevents overheating of thermal oil and protects the heating coils from fouling at uneconomic engine speeds With the above Konutherm exhaust gas heater NO dumpcooling system has to be installed!

The Bloksma oil & water heater has a removable tube-bundle with U-bends. This construction allows a free expansion of the tubes. The tube sheet is bolted between two flat gaskets. U-bended seamless drawn tubes (St. 35.8) are roller expanded into the tube sheets. In case of thermal oil the tubes are additionally seal-welded. The cover is provided with welded flanges according to ISO or (compact) SAE norms to reduce space-requirements. This SAE connection is preferred by module-builders.
The standard version of the heater is made of mild steel. Other materials, such as stainless steel and copper-nickel with coated cover and coated intermediate ring are possible. All steel parts are shot blasted and painted with a layer of heat-resistant aluminium coating, silver coloured RAL 9006.Heaters are supplied with a rust-preventing layer for storage up to 6 months. Insulation (optional) by mineral wool mats, covered with galvanised steel plate. Alternative constructions are available for use as tank-suction heater or tank heater

The principle:
GESAB - HTI Thermal Oil Heaters are built according to DIN 4754 and the classification Societies´ rules for pressure vessels. The forced circulation heaters of vertical or horizontal design are available of outputs of 200-10000kW. Thermal Oil Heaters, with at heating capacity of 800 kW and upward, can use heavy fuel oil burners (viscosity to 700 cSt at 50 C). On request, we can supply burners with a rotating cups and heaters designed for combustion of waste oil and sludge. Generated heat, by oil or gas flame will be transferred to the thermal oil system through bent pipes forming cylinders inside the heater. Within the inner cylinder - the combustion chamber - the heat is transferred by radiation and in the outer cylinder by convection.

Bowman Marine Heat Exchangers.
There are three methods employed for water-cooled marine petrol and diesel engines: direct, heat exchanger and keel cooling. Direct cooling of the cylinders and heads by sea-water is unsatisfactory, because the engine - which was probably originally designed for radiator cooling - will run too cold and the sea-water will eventually ruin the cylinder block and heads.
Bowman Heat Exchangers are high-quality products incorporating both the best materials and the latest technical features.

Heat Exchangers
We make the different process:
- Built heat exchangers to replace the current system,
- Report to the customer on repairing or replacement, when we receive the damaged exchanger in the factory
- Repairing your products even when an in-situ repair is needed.

Bowman Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers: are intended for heating or cooling process fluids, they are for example suitable for closed circuit cooling of electrical equipment using demineralised water and for cooling water soluble oil solutions in quenching tanks.
The shell side usually contains the process fluid and the tube side water from the town mains or a cooling tower, or an ethylene glycol solution from a chiller unit. In certain circumstances this flow arrangement can be reversed, but please consult us first.

Alfa Laval provides a comprehensive range of plate heat exchangers of the traditional type, featuring gaskets between the plates.
The conventional type of Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers uses heat transfer plates fitted with gaskets that seal off each channel from the next, and direct the fluids into alternate channels.
This type of plate heat exchanger is used throughout industry as standard equipment for efficient heating, cooling, heat recovery, condensation and evaporation. Generally speaking, all of these Alfa Laval units are notable for:
High thermal efficiency for effective heat transfer
Compact design resulting in small quantities of materials used for heat transfer surfaces
Low installation cost
Easy dismantling and easy, rapid cleaning
High performance with low hold-up volume
Versatile, modular design
Environmentally efficient
The range is continually being updated and extended to include new technical features and design innovations. The T series, for example, is built with a new frame design that paves the way to more plates per frame as well as opportunities for the use of modularised components. This ensures even easier and more rational assembly and service.
There is also a range of special wide-gap gasketed plate heat exchangers designed to cope with fluids that contain fibres and coarse particles. Units with wide-gap channels are also eminently suitable for use with highly viscous fluids.

The GEA Bloksma plate fin oil (PF) cooler is a well proven, compact (25% of conventional), slim lined heat exchanger for cooling oil by means of sea- or fresh water and is suited for a wide range of marine and industrial applications. Unlike conventional shell & tube types it contains a bundle with a high density plate fin surface around the tubes. The cooler is available in 4 standard shell diameters ranging from 100 ñ 280 mm, covering 1 to 170 m2 plate fin surface. Connections in most cases can be DIN or SAE compatible or BSP threaded. The length of the cooler is variable. Standard components and modules enable to provide a large number of solutions, meeting customer requirements at a short delivery time.
Two standard versions are available:
IV Industrial Version: For non-aggressive or controlled cooling water
MV Marine Version: For aggressive or surface water

The Free Flow plate heat exchangers by GEA Ecoflex are particularly suited for products containing solids and pulp as well as for highly viscous products. They are distinguished by their
wide gap cross-section from 5.0 mm up to 12.0 mm
combination of wide and narrow flow channels within a single unit, depending on the application
flow channels without metal support point
profiling structure (waves) that is insensitive to soiling
These properties are why they are used mainly in the sugar and paper industries and in the food and fruit juice industries. They are also often used in the renewable energy sector.
