AIS Radar Receiver
The Nasa Marine AIS radar is the first stand alone AIS receiver / plotter specifically designed for the leisure boat market.
The display, with ranges of 1,2,4,8,16 and 32 nautical miles shows AIS carrying vessels in a format normally associated with conventional radar. A trail of previous positions clearly chows the relative track of all the targets on the screen. A box to the right of the screen displays the speed over the ground, the vessel name, mmsi number and the latidude and longitude of any target selected by the user.
The compact unit has a white backlit LCD display, operates from 12 volts and consumes little power.

Sure in sea the emergency plays a role of primary importance.
From today thanks to the receiver Lorenz AIS 2000, which ships are possible to visualize all the endowed boats of a sender AIS (Automatic Identification System) trade them or pleasure crafts and of monitorarne movements, name and direction let alone to receive useful information for navigation.
Fundamental collision alarm is the function "" that perceives if any found ship will too much pass near the boat avoiding therefore possible boardings in sea
AIS 2000 works on common frequencies VHF in double channel of reception, has a great capacity and is simplest to mount thanks to its dimensions (115x75x28 milimeter).
Connecting AIS 2000 to an VHF antenna and chartplotter a Lorenz, an instrument of guarantee for navigation is created.

EMERGENCY ASSETS AND LIABILITIES, TO SEE AND TO BE SEEN.
Navigation trades has caught up them new levels of emergency thanks to technology AIS (Automatic Identification System). Through transponders AIS it is possible to send own position and to receive the position of the other ships being avoided collisions in situations of poor visibility, also where the radar does not succeed to find the obstacles effectively.
From today also any pleasure craft it can have use of of technology AIS in complete way, not only receiving the data transmitted from the other ships but also transmitting own.
AIS 3000 RT is an accredited sender AIS class B, therefore purposely studied for pleasure crafts.
AIS 3000 RT connected to an VHF antenna transmits own data of navigation like:
· Name boat
· Speed
· Route
· Dimensions boat
· Type of boat (sail, engine, etc.)
· Of identification international MMSI

The Simrad AI50 class B AIS transponder offers boat owners the most exciting new development in the safety of navigation.
The Simrad AI50 AIS transponder offers boat owners the most exciting new development in the safety of navigation. All large commercial vessels including ferries, cargo and passenger ships already carry AIS.
Now Simrad Yachting is introducing the first compact Class “B” AIS with a color display. Class “A” transponders used on commercial ships have many features not needed by recreational users making them expensive. The class “B” standard offers all the visibility and benefits of the class “A” without the complications. The result is that AIS is now affordable for all users. Mounted at the helm, the Simrad AI50 offers unsurpassed simplicity of operation and clarity of information. The Simrad AI50 shows information from other ships.

The AIS-MULTI is a combined AIS Dual Channel Receiver and Antenna Splitter all
in one compact unit. Installation is quick and easy as it utilises the boats existing VHF Radio Antenna to provide AIS reception, thus reducing cost and time.
The unit is powered by the boats 12/24VDC supply. The signal from the Antenna is amplified before being shared by the VHF Radio and internal AIS Receiver, thus ensuring minimum insertion loss.
AIS information received can be displayed on a compatible Chart Plotter using the NMEA 0183 output, and at the same time the unit can be connected to a PC via the USB port to display data onto a compatible Charting program.
