Carbon composites are known for their:
High fatigue tolerance
Stability under environmental exposure
Exceptional strength to weight
All these features make carbon composites attractive not just for the construction of mast tubes and fittings, but also for standing rigging.
Composite Rigging installed the first full set of Element C6 carbon composite rigging on the Farr 52 Georgia in Auckland in March 2003. This set includes all shrouds, jumpers, running backstays and headstay. These pieces now have over five years of service without incident.
Since that time EC6 has been installed on a variety of yachts ranging from 30’ sport boats to 50+ meter Megayachts.
The first set of EC6+ continuous rigging was installed on the Farr 60 Numbers in the spring of 2005. More recently the Open 60 Paprec-Virbac won the Barcelona doubled handed nonstop round the world race with EC6+ carbon shrouds. Post-race testing confirmed that there was no strength degradation. The rigging has been refurbished and reinstalled for the next event.

SPARS, POLES & TUBES
We have amassed a broad selection of mandrels over the years and can provide spinnaker poles, bow sprit tubes and whisker poles for just about any boat from 14 to 90 feet.

Hall seamless carbon spars are the perfect complement to the high-performance cruising yacht. The light weight means less pitching and motion in a seaway. It also gives the designer flexibility to put weight into the interior instead of the keel (righting moment).

Hall seamless carbon-fiber masts have no peer in the combination of light weight, stiffness, and the ability to tune easily for changing conditions. Hall is the choice of the winning Cup crew in the last two events.

|
Hall carbon-fiber poles are manufactured using the same aerospace-quality, seamless construction process as our extraordinary masts and booms. Each pole is custom molded on a male mandrel then autoclave-cured to eliminate voids. Hall uses unidirectional, pre-preg carbon fiber for the pole's structure, resulting in maximum strength at minimum weight.
Hall Spars & Rigging spinnaker poles are made for intense sailing. Hall poles save weight on deck, are easier to handle (half the weight of aluminum), and are incredibly tough. Kevlar in key areas protects the carbon from chafe.

Machined from a solid piece of aluminum to achieve high strength-to-weight ratios. Hard-coat anodized; its trigger pin is stainless steel with a tungsten-carbide coating. Available in trigger or piston version for 3.0 and 4.0 pole diameters.
Adapters: Machined Delrin adapters size up QuikTrip 3.0 to larger poles. Available for 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 pole diameters.
