The mooring fiber cable reel is designed to store, deploy and retrieve mooring fiber or rope on small and medium-sized vessels, enabling controlled handling during mooring operations.
Application:
Used on deck as a mooring cable drum to manage mooring lines for berthing, anchoring and ship-to-ship operations.
Structure and components:
The reel assembly includes a cylindrical reel body mounted between two support frames, a rotating shaft supported by bearings, and drive elements such as a shifting fork, clutch, reducer and drive motor.
The clutch end is fitted with a fork that attaches to the support frame; the clutch connects to the reducer, which is driven by the motor.
Functional advantages:
Simple mechanical design for straightforward operation and maintenance.
Selectable manual or electric winch operation to suit different vessel systems and working conditions.
Improved control of retraction tension for safer line handling and wide applicability across vessel types.
