The plow anchor often referred to as bruce-anchor or M-anchor is an anchoring tool that was originally used on oil installations in the North Sea. The M-shaped claw drills into the bottom, and the angle of the arm pushes it even further down as the pressure increases. The plow anchor has a good grip on both rock and sand bottoms, making it a favorite amongst many boaters.
