The Simrad PX miniCatch is a wireless multifunction gear monitoring sensor. The sensor is provided in several different versions. The version is defined by the type of sensor lid.
Versatile measurement capabilities
The Simrad PX miniCatch sensor comes in several different versions.
The standard version does not have a sensor lid. This version includes the catch sensor with a side-pull activator, which is similar to the functionality of the PX MultiCatch sensor.
The Catch/Temperature (C/T) version includes the catch sensor with a back-pull activator and temperature measurement. A side-pull activator is optional; you must order this separately.
The Depth/Temperature (D/T) version includes the catch sensor with a side-pull activator. The sensor also measures depth and temperature.
The basic version of the sensor has a neutral lid.
The PX miniCatch sensor offers a side-pull activator, which allows for a great combination of measurements. The specific measurements a sensor can make depend on its lid type, the gear's physical location, and the receiver you use.
System requirements and compatibility
This sensor is a part of the Simrad PX System.
To receive information from this gear monitoring sensor, you need a suitable receiver (PI or SR Series), one or more hydrophones, and a computer running the Simrad TV80 or Simrad PI50 programs.
This Simrad PX System is compatible with all our PI Hydrophones. However, it can also use non-Simrad hydrophones, provided the communication frequency matches.
