The Panama chock is tested according both to I.M.O. and O.C.I.M.F. requirements. It is type approved, wich means that the prototype has been tested at our testing bench at 1962 / 3924 kN at 30 / 60 / 90 degrees pull.
Most of the Panama chocks existing at bow and stern of the tankers are fully workable for general mooring purposes but they do not comply to I.M.O. requirements, so they must be replaced with approved ones.
